Doug was very communicative about what they found, calling with information and texting photos to explain. The on-site workers were respectful and thoughtful, showing me things like the way the dryer vents out onto the roof and may need to be cleaned or re-routed. And the clean-up crew was very thorough, taking a magnetic wand around the property when I expressed concern about nails and other debris that could be left behind. And their pricing was very reasonable, as we shopped around to get the best price. Would definitely recommend Cal Roof!”

They then came out to inspect the roof and walk me through the scope of work, including the type and benefits of the shingles they prefer to use. I did a bit of research and the shingles were rated top-of-the-line. Their pricing for the work was very reasonable compared to the other quotes and Doug was very responsive and easy to contact. Doug squeezed us into their work schedule since we were on a tight timeline to install solar. There was rotted wood that needed replacement, yet the final cost was very close to the original estimate. The workers were courteous and cleaned up the property well after the roof was done. The permits and final inspection were turned around quickly, and we had sign-off the same week that the job was done! I was very impressed with all aspects of working with Cal Roof, and Doug in particular, from the initial estimate to closing out the permits. I highly recommend them!”

“FIVE STARS! Doug Berry and his crew were top-notch professionals! From the first meeting for the free estimate to the final meeting and sign-off on the job, this company and the owner were wonderful! The pricing was extremely fair and in the same ballpark among the other estimates we got from other companies. We chose to go with Doug because of his honesty and knowledge about the job and the product he uses. The crew showed up early every morning and worked a full day, every day until the job was done. They were clean and considerate throughout all phases of the work. The product they used to replace our old tar and gravel flat roof has lowered the temperature inside the house by around 10 degrees, as well, which is amazing and is performing exactly as Doug said it would, and the roof leak and rotted wood we formerly had from the old roof are now GONE! Doug and his crew really went above and beyond our expectations and that was just their normal business practice — we didn't have to ask them for anything, they just did everything right as part of their usual daily protocol. Top that off with the fact that they finished on time and on budget, even with some extra wood replacement, and we were one wowed customer! Out of the 3 businesses we interviewed, we are SO HAPPY that we chose Cal Roof, Inc. I can't say enough good things about the owner and this company. I highly recommend Cal Roof!”

Had a few other contractors come out and they just told me I needed to have the entire roof redone. House is only about 14 years old so I was pretty bummed. Cal Roof came and did what the others didn't, they pulled up the tiles and said the paper was still in good condition, but they found a small tear which was right where the leak was. They quickly patched it, and my leak is fixed! Nice to work with such an honest and professional company. Highly recommended, other neighbors have used them as well near me and have had great things to say.”
